Şahin 40 millimeter Physical Destruction System, developed by ASELSAN against drone threats, is getting ready to enter the inventory of the security forces.

ASELSAN exhibited the products it developed to meet the different needs of the security forces within the scope of the EFES-2022 Combined Joint Actual Fire Field Exercise.

ASELSAN, which has recently developed solutions against attacks using drones, introduced the Şahin 40 millimeter Physical Destruction System, one of them, at the EFES-2022 Exercise.

The symbols of three types of mini and micro UAVs, two with rotating wings and one with fixed wings, that the Şahin 40 millimeter Physical Destruction System neutralized during the development process were engraved on the gun turret. Examples of similar practices are applied to fighters that shot down an enemy plane, by embroidering the flag of that country.

Şahin, whose development work has been completed, is expected to be made available to the security forces in the near future.

Having neutralized its targets with high-speed smart ammunition sent from a 40 millimeter grenade launcher, Şahin was integrated on a trailer.

It will also take part in the protection of critical facilities.

The system, which has remote command capability, performs automatic target detection and tracking with advanced electro-optical cameras.

With an effective range of 700 meters, Şahin automatically steers to the location reported from the radar. The system, which has the ability to detect and track targets in difficult weather conditions day and night, can be easily transferred to the required area and installed.
