Turkcell, which has invested more than 2.5 billion Turkish lira in new generation data centers with the vision that Turkey's data should stay in Turkey, has realized its new investment in this field in Kapaklı district of Tekirdağ. The opening ceremony of the European Data Center was hosted by Turkcell Chairman of the Board Bülent Aksu and Turkcell General Manager Murat Erkan with the participation of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Governor of Tekirdağ Aziz Yıldırım. The state-of-the-art European Data Center was also a first in Turkey with a localization rate of 75%. Turkcell, Turkey's largest data center operator, brought a total of 8 data centers to our country.
Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, said, "We aim to increase railway investments to 60 percent and the railway network to 16,775 kilometers in 2023."
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu said, "Testing of Türksat 5A will continue for a month. Our satellite will start serving the world after June." said.
