The European Union (EU) countries, which opened their doors to Turkish citizens who completed the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) vaccine after a long time, are increasing.
Due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, many EU countries stopped their travel visa applications and banned the entry of even Turkish citizens with visas or passports that can travel without a visa.
Countries that allow only those who have the right of residence in their countries to enter the country have relaxed their rules in recent weeks.
In the new situation, the equivalence given by the EU Commission to Turkey’s vaccination certificate on 19 August and the increasing rate of vaccination in European countries were effective.
Belgium, which is the “heart of Europe” and hosts EU institutions and NATO, is one of these countries. Belgium, which has allowed travel from Turkey for a long time only for mandatory conditions, has restarted the visa application process for Turkish citizens holding a burgundy colored passport.
Citizens who have received two doses of the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine, which is recognized by the EU and applied in Turkey, have the right to enter the country by obtaining a visa, while the holders of gray service passports and green special passports can travel to Belgium if they have completed their vaccinations.
France
Although France classifies Turkey as a red zone, the EU’s Pharmaceutical Regulator exempts those who complete the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine approved by the EMA from the entry ban.
Force majeure is sought for the entry of people who have had the Sinovac vaccine produced by China. They are also required to submit a negative test result and a 10-day quarantine requirement.
Germany
Germany also allows the travel of Turkish citizens who have completed the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine.
Germany, which makes entries possible provided that at least 14 days have passed since the last dose required for protection, is allowed, except for exceptional cases, for people who already have a valid visa or visa-free travel right.
People who want to travel to Germany should pay attention to the exceptions in question. The police at the border gates can seek health insurance, return tickets and 45 euros per day for the number of days they will stay.
Romania also allows those who have received two doses of Pfizer-Biontech vaccine to enter with gray and green passports and accept tourist visa applications.
Countries that recognize Sinovac
According to Austria’s travel arrangement for countries such as Turkey, which is on the orange list, people who have a visa or a passport that allows visa-free entry can enter the country on the condition that they take two doses of both Pfizer-Biontech and Sinovac vaccines.
Quarantine is not applied to people who can enter the country on the condition that 14 days have passed since the last dose.
The same applies in the Netherlands.
Holders of a general passport with a residence permit or visa in Greece, as well as those with a special, service and diplomatic passport, can enter Greece if the PCR test they will have done within the last 72 hours is negative.
On the other hand, Turkish citizens who have a certificate of any vaccine can enter Greece without the obligation of PCR testing, provided that they meet the necessary conditions according to the type of passport.
Hungary accepts citizens who have received two doses of any vaccine administered in Turkey in accordance with the vaccination certificate agreement it has reached with Turkey.
Spain has been receiving visa applications since the beginning of summer. Turkish citizens who have a visa or a green or gray passport are admitted to the country, regardless of the type of vaccination they have had.
