University-industry cooperation will be established for new technologies in the defense industry

Nurol Technology and Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center will collaborate on R&D studies in ballistic protective products.

Nurol Technology, which was established with 100 percent national and domestic capital to produce advanced technical ballistic ceramics, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM) with the aim of accelerating the R&D studies of ballistic protective products.

Nurol Teknoloji, which was established with 100 percent national and domestic capital to produce advanced technical ballistic ceramics, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with SUNUM with the aim of accelerating the R&D studies of ballistic protective products. The cooperation, which will last for two years, covers the development of project programs, the use of SUNUM laboratories in the R&D studies to be carried out by Nurol Teknoloji, joint applications to the European Union project calls, conducting joint research and other cooperation issues.

Nurol Teknoloji General Manager Baybaş said, “We wish that this cooperation agreement, which we believe will develop important and beneficial R&D projects for the progress of our country in the defense industry, will be beneficial for our country and all our stakeholders.” made its assessment.

Nurol Teknoloji, one of the few companies in the world that can produce advanced ballistic armored solutions with boron carbide, silicon carbide and alumina ceramics, aims to protect the Turkish Armed Forces, security forces and other law enforcement forces against the highest possible threat and to provide advantages in the operation areas with its products.

Nurol Teknoloji, which has recently received more than 100 thousand ballistic protective vests, full protection vests and in-shirt vests for the needs of the Gendarmerie and the General Directorate of Security, continues its deliveries in batches.

Nurol Teknoloji, which has started to export to countries such as Italy, Belgium, Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands, aims to increase the amount of exports and the number of countries in the future with existing and new products to be developed.
