YTB President Eren Met with Palestinian Scholars

President of Turks Abroad and Related Communities Abdullah Eren met with Palestinian students as part of the “Turkey Scholarships” program, which offers higher education opportunities in Turkey to students from all over the world.

President of Turks Abroad and Related Communities Abdullah Eren met with Palestinian students studying in Ankara with Turkey Scholarships at YTB Hamamönü Office.

Addressing the students here, Eren stated that the Palestinians also had serious problems in their daily lives after Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip, “This issue is really not just an issue to be remembered from war to war, but an issue that should be kept on the agenda.” said.

Eren stated that the scholarship winners could not come to Turkey due to the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) epidemic in 2020 and that they want to bring these students to Turkey in June and provide education. He also said he plans to increase the number of Palestinian students.

Noting that Turkey’s support for the Palestinian cause will continue in every field, Eren said that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with the leaders of many countries and tried to mobilize the international community.

Eren, noting that Israel’s attacks should be explained more, noted that they will support the students in their work for the Palestinian cause.

Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University doctoral student Muhammed Yusuf, noting that he is Palestinian but was born and raised in Syria, said, “I have never seen Palestine. I want to show you something, the soil in this jar may be normal soil for you, but it is more valuable soil than gold for me. My sister visited Masjid al-Aqsa after she became a Dutch citizen. This land came to me from her. .
This land is the land of Masjid al-Aqsa, this is the Palestinian T-shirt, my mother sewed it with her own hands, I carry it with me wherever I go. I hope I will give it to my children.”

Students thanked President Erdogan and the Turkish people for their struggle on Palestine.
