Biennial exhibitions postponed to 2022

The Corona virus also affected the 17th Istanbul Biennial, as well as the curators and participants of the biennial. The 17th Istanbul Biennial exhibitions have been postponed to 17 September-20 November 2022.

The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), together with the curators Ute Meta Bauer, Amar Kanwar, David Teh and all stakeholders and participants, decided to postpone the 17th Istanbul Biennial exhibitions, which are planned to be held this year due to the corona virus outbreak.

The curatorial team of the biennial is Ute Meta Bauer, Amar Kanwar and David Teh.

Exhibitions and meetings to be held in physical spaces within the scope of the 17th Istanbul Biennial will be held between 17 September-20 November 2022.

A number of projects will continue to be carried out within the framework of the curatorial approach of the biennial throughout 2021.
