Defense Industry President İsmail Demir shared on his Twitter account the armor package produced for Leopard 2A4 tanks.
Demir stated that the armor package designed and produced at the Ballistic Protection Center in Roketsan has started mass production as part of the efforts to increase the capabilities of the Leopard 2A4 tanks in the inventory of the Land Forces Command (KKK) in accordance with the modern combat environment, and emphasized that the integration of the armor package into the tanks has also started.

Demir gave the following information in his post:
“Developed in different configurations for turret and hull compartments according to threat analysis, the armor package still has the most effective ballistic protection used in Leopard 2A4 tanks in the world’s armies. Tanks modernized with domestic and national systems are at the service of ‘Mehmetçik’.”
