TOGG’s facility in Bursa will be ready for production by the end of 2022

At the TOGG Gemlik Facility, the construction works started with soil improvement a year ago, and the roofing process was started. The facility is planned to be ready for production by the end of 2022.

Turkey’s Automobile Enterprise Group (TOGG) Gemlik Facility, which started on July 18, 2020, the construction works are progressing within the plan. The plant is expected to be ready for production by the end of next year. According to the statement made by TOGG, the construction works of the TOGG Gemlik Facility, which is defined as “more than a factory” with its smart and environmental features, completed its first year.

At the end of a year, the company started the construction works with ground improvement and started the roofing process. It is planned to complete the roofing works of the entire facility by the end of September.

4 thousand 300 people will be employed

During the one-year construction period, basic reinforcement works of purification, assembly, energy, paint, body, entrance and battery units were completed and superstructure works were started.

With the establishment of production and assembly lines at the TOGG Gemlik Facility, where long-term equipment orders are placed, it is aimed to take the first serial car off the line in the last quarter of 2022. When the production capacity of the facility reaches 175 thousand units per year, a total of 4 thousand 300 people will be employed.

17% of structural steel fabrication completed

All basic iron and concrete production was completed in one year at TOGG Gemlik Facility. 40 percent of steel column manufacturing and 17 percent of structural steel manufacturing have been completed.

While the basic iron and concrete constructions were completed at the hull facility, 95 percent progress was achieved in prefabricated column manufacturing and 22 percent in structural steel manufacturing.

In the assembly facility, 97 percent of the basic iron production, 90 percent of the foundation concrete production, 47 percent of the prefabricated column production and all of the sub-foundation insulation have been completed. In the power plant, basic iron and concrete production has been completed.
