ASELSAN and Türk Telekom signed an important cooperation within the scope of the vision of developing domestic and national technologies.
Tests of the new generation antenna have begun
The 2G-3G-4.5G base station antenna newly developed by ASELSAN started to be tested in an active field together with Türk Telekom.
With more than 40 years of experience, the company has installed test versions of this new generation antenna, which is multi-band supported and can provide 2G-3G-4.5G services, on the network of Türk Telekom, Turkey’s leading operator.
Türk Telekom continues to increase its support for the projects created in order to increase the share of domestic and national production in communication technologies and to ensure that the investments to be made for communication technologies are met with domestic and national resources in the process that started with 4.5G.
Regarding the cooperation in question, Türk Telekom CEO Ümit Önal said, “As a company, we continue to work with ASELSAN on the productization of domestic base station antennas. We have started to install and test multi-band supported antennas developed by ASELSAN in our fields. This is very valuable in terms of locality. We are happy to realize the field tests phase, which is one of the important milestones of the project, together.” he said.
ASELSAN Chairman of the Board and General Manager Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün said, “As Turkey’s leading technology company, ASELSAN, the results seen in live tests at the operator’s field are very important for the development of our products. According to the feedback we received from the test activities carried out in partnership with Türk Telekom, we continue to develop our product. Our mass production works for the second half of 2021. and the planned installations for other operators are continuing at full speed. We are working with all our strength to develop new types of domestic and national antennas with our high technologies.” he said.
