President Erdoğan puts Türksat 5A Satellite into service

Türksat 5A Satellite was put into service with a ceremony attended by President Erdoğan.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the Türksat 5A Satellite Commissioning Ceremony at Türksat’s Gölbaşı campus.

In his speech here, Erdogan said, “We have produced our TÜRKSAT 6A satellite, we are planning to launch this satellite, which is in the testing phase, into space next year. Thus, Turkey will be among the 10 countries that can produce communication satellites in the world.” said.

President Erdogan continued as follows:

“The tests of our TÜRKSAT 5B satellite, whose design and production phases have been successfully completed, are continuing. Our aim is to send this satellite into space in the last quarter of the year. Our data communication capacity will increase 15 times with the introduction of TÜRKSAT 5B, whose payload capacity will be more than all satellites to date.”

“We will soon share our strategy work that will support data-based innovation, develop national technology production capability, and put it ahead in artificial intelligence. We will create a strong cyber defense mechanism with the awareness that the real big threats will also come from cyberspace.” used the phrases.
