Baykar will build a UAV maintenance and training center in Ukraine

A protocol was signed between the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and Baykar on the construction of a joint unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) maintenance and training center.

According to the statement made by the Presidency of Ukraine, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelenskiy, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran and General Manager of Baykar Haluk Bayraktar attended the signing ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Zelenskiy stated that they have been waiting for this moment for a long time and thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his contributions to the realization of the project.

According to the agreement, Baykar will build a UAV maintenance, modernization and training center in the Vasilkov region, which belongs to the Ukrainian Army.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces purchased 6 Bayraktar TB2 UAVs and 3 ground control stations from Turkey in 2019. In July, 1 TB2 UAV complex was sent to the Ukrainian Naval Forces.
