President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the “Those Who Add Value to Kocaeli, Center of Technology and Industry Award Ceremony” held in Gebze Informatics Valley. After the ceremony, Erdogan got behind the wheel of Türkiye’nin domestic car TOGG.

Our 13 thousand engineers and technicians, trained in the best universities of our country, work day and night in MMU’s project with great love. Even if someone tries to discourage our youth, who are patriotic and nation-loving, we trust and support them. We are implementing Togg, one of the vision projects of our country, step by step, in accordance with the calendar we have determined. On October 29, we will hold Togg’s factory opening and the unwinding ceremony of its first production vehicle. We will start seeing Togg on the roads in the first quarter of 2023. We will present Togg to the service of our nation and the world, despite those who say that you cannot sell even if you produce.
This city marks the automotive, chemical and metal industries with its enormous production volume. Kocaeli realized approximately 40 percent of the vehicle production in Türkiye. A total of 128 research R&D centers and 15 design centers strengthen the competitive power of the city with their work. Research in 5 technology development zones in Kocaeli contributes to value-added production.
